Time Management at school
Personal organization is a skill which has a great effect on the level of success that students experience especially at year 11 and year 12.
Being well organized means managing your time so that all of your study commitments are completed on time. It means planning your days and weeks and looking forward to what lies ahead. Using your school diary to record dates and deadlines is a good starting point. Many students use a weekly planner which shows clearly at the beginning of each week what commitments they have and what studies need to be given particular focus. You can use your mobile phone, iPod or palm pad to record and remind you about important tasks.
Managing your time well avoids submitting rushed or hurried work. You will always achieve the best results when you have been able to carefully plan, consider, construct and correct your assignment. Good time management helps you to achieve the right balance between study, school and recreation.
Students who do not address the issue of time management generally waste a great amount of their time and rarely achieve the results that they were hoping for. If you feel that you are not getting the best from your studies have a look at the way in which you manage your time. You may find that some minor changes make a major difference.
Are you well organised? Share your tips and tricks.

When I was a tyke I struggled to stay organised without the use of a student planner so I can definitely relate to what you\’re saying here.

Hi Sam, it sounds as though you are speaking from experience. Getting the best results from study is certainly about being organised.
