For year twelve students term 3 marks the beginning of an intensive period of study and preparation towards final examinations. There are projects or research studies to complete, tests to prepare for, investigations and assignments to manage and revision timetables to establish. All students really feel the pressure at this time of the year. The work load is heavy and the challenge of examinations is daunting, for some even frightening. It is common for students to stay up very late at night to make sure that things are finished on time or to prepare well for a test. They may also skip meals or eat take-away food on a regular basis to save time. The combination of stress, fatigue and poor diet usually leads to a health crisis of some kind.
