Senior secondary students are now almost at the end of third term. The school year is drawing to a close and examinations are not far away.
It is time to focus on revision and preparing yourself for the examination experience as best you can. We know that practice in any activity is important in improving performance. Examinations are no different. Reviewing questions, constructing answers and working to a time limit is the best way to practice for examinations. The more practice you have the better your responses will be on the day of the examination.

Secondary students in senior high school must now start making decisions about the subjects that they will study in 2010. You will be given help with this process at school but there are some things that you should keep in mind.
- Look ahead – If you have ideas about University or other tertiary study make sure that you look at course requirements. Sometimes university courses list prerequisite subjects; in other words subjects you must study at school before you can apply to that particular course. It may be a maths or science subject and for International students English is listed as a prerequisite for most university courses. Make sure that you choose the subjects that will allow you to apply to the courses that you want. The careers councilor in your school will be able to provide you with information about prerequisite subjects. Most Australian universities will have this information on their website.
