Education System in Canberra
Even though Canberra has a relatively small population there are still a number of secondary schools all of which are administered by the Australian Capital Territory Schools Authority. High school is recognized as years 7 to 10 and years 11 and 12 are senior college.
Students completing secondary qualifications in the ACT who wish to attend university have four options:
- The Australian Catholic University
- The Australian National University
- The University of Canberra
- The National Defence Force Academy
Canberra is appealing to International students as a study destination because it offers a quiet environment in which to live and study. Secondary schools both private and public welcome International enrollments.
