Australia experiences a diverse range of climatic conditions. Australia is a vast continent and is often described as the driest on Earth. In the centre there are large tracts of desert where daytime temperatures can reach as high as 50 degrees Celcius. The north eastern coastline has tropical beaches and large stretches of tropical rainforest. The south eastern part of Australia boasts the highest mountain (Mt. Kosciusko) and Australia’s only snow skiing resorts.
The southern and western coastline experiences moderate climatic conditions with warm to hot summers and cool to mild winters. Northern Australia is tropical and experiences most of its rainfall during the summer months. Generally speaking Australia has a ‘friendly’ climate which encourages outdoor activities, sports, time at the beach and the great ‘Aussie BBQ ‘
